Sri Lanka announced Asia Cup 2022 squad

Five of the 6 countries participating in this year's Asia Cup have already announced their teams. Only Sri Lanka was left. The Lankan cricket board announced the squad as last team. Sri Lanka has announced a 20 member squad.
Dasun Shanaka will lead the Lankans for the island nation. Experienced Dinesh Chandimal has returned to the team. Besides 'Baby Malinga' Mathisa Pathirana also got a chance in the Asia Cup squad. There are seven pacers and four spinners in the squad.
Sri Lanka was the host of this year's Asia Cup. But due to the ongoing economic crisis of the country, they withdrew from that important responsibility. Sri Lanka Cricket Board informed, it is not possible for them to organize the tournament. Then the tournament was moved to the United Arab Emirates.
The curtain will rise on August 27 of this mega event. Sri Lanka will face Afghanistan in the opening match of the tournament.
