Pakistan announce strong squad for Asia Cup

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selectors announced the 15 member squad for the Asia Cup held in the T20 format in the United Arab Emirates. Hasan Ali has been dropped from the team.
Asia Cup 2022 schedule was announced on Tuesday. The event will start on 27 August.
India and Pakistan are in the same group. PCB gave the team a day after announcing the schedule. The only surprise in that team is 19 year old pacer Nasim Shah.
Injured left arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has been included in the Asia Cup squad. He was injured in the Test series against Sri Lanka. It is also mentioned that he will be played only if he is fully fit before the Asia Cup.
PCB Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim said, we have only made changes where needed. Apart from this, the best possible team has been selected by talking to the coach and captain.
Regarding Naseem Shah's inclusion in the team, the PCB selector said that Hasan has been given temporary rest from international cricket. Hope Naseem will do well in his place. Naseem has no experience playing white ball cricket. But he can bowl aggressively with controlled pace and swing in Tests. That will serve the team.
