Asia Cup 2022 schedule announced, starting on 27 August

Due to Sri Lanka political and economic crisis, there were concerns about whether the Asia Cup would be held on time. There were also concerns about the venue in Sri Lanka. In the end, there was a change in the venue of the tournament. The Asia Cup has moved from Sri Lanka to the United Arab Emirates. This year's Asia Cup will be played on August 27 and the final of the tournament will be held on September 11.

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the date of Asia Cup 2022. The ACC announced the final schedule in a statement on Tuesday (02 August). This year curtain will rise on August 27 and will continue till September 11.
Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are entering the field on the first day of this season. The two teams will face each other on August 27.
Much awaited India Pakistan match will take place on the second day of the tournament. After the last T20 World Cup, these two arch rivals are facing each other for the first time.
Asia Cup 2022 Schedule
In view of the T20 World Cup in October, this year tournament will be in the T20 format, which ACC believes will contribute greatly to the World Cup preparation of the 6 participating teams.
A total of six teams including Bangladesh are participating in this year Asia Cup. The remaining countries are: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan. The rest of the team will be selected from a qualifier between the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Singapore and Hong Kong.
