Meta testing default end-to-end encryption on Messenger

Facebook Authority Meta has started testing the long-awaited default end-to-end encryption (E2EE) on Messenger. Meta recently announced that they are launching it on a small number of people this week. Meta plans to roll out the feature globally next year.
End-to-end encryption is currently available as an option. A few security conscious people are using it. Making it the default would be a big step. Because this platform is used by more than billion people worldwide. But it will again play a negative role in crime detection.
Meta is rolling out the option on its other platforms as well. As WhatsApp has it by default. However, Instagram is in an experimental phase. Disappearing message feature is also enabled in Messenger.
Previously it was called Vanishing Mode, but it was later canceled by Facebook. Bringing the By Default feature to Messenger is not that easy. But recent updates show that it is slowly coming into effect. This feature is expected to roll out to Messenger calls and chats next year.
