Apple will bring a smart display

Apple has plans to expand smart home products in the next two years according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. In his recent Power On newsletter, Gurman said Apple has four smart home products in the lab.
One of these is the new HomePod. Gurman gave an idea about this last June. Also included is the new HomePod Mini. Its look and sound like the original 2018 model. However, Apple discontinued the HomePod in 2021 without announcing a direct replacement. And the other two devices are completely new products of Apple.
According to Gurman, one is kitchen accessories. There is a combination of iPad and a speaker. Another is a special combination with Apple TV, Camera and HomePod into a living room device. Gurman expects these two products release in the market by the end of next year or as early as 2024.
A Kitchen product looks like it's built to compete with Amazon and Google. The two are most closely associated with the smart display category thanks to releases like the Nest Hub and Echo Show 15. It would be interesting to see what Apple thinks it can bring to the field since most smart displays don't feel essential.
